A few years' ago Buddag (user name), a member of the old Bahamas Writer forums, loaned me one of his audio books. It was a lovely story, but it was also enhanced by the excellent way he read it. If this genre is going to work for you, make sure if you can't read it yourself, you get someone to do it who has just the right voice.
