Hello everyone out there in Bahama Writer cyberworld, I'm Tania and yes I am an aspiring writer, nice to be here. Well, I joined BW a few months back, and only now (at literally the 11th hour since it is 11.07pm) I finally made up my mind to introduce myself to you. As it is the 11th hour forgive any spelling mistakes. I always loved reading and my dream as a child was to write, I was about 10 years old when my parents bought me a typewriter, that should give you a clue to my age as I did not say computer or laptop. I've always loved books and the way we can be transported to that place and time. For a while now I've been trying to go back in time to write about my childhood, and specifically the summers spent with my grandmother in Italy, where I grew up.
It has been a bit difficult just because I have to go back in time, and remember certain things. I've had the good fortune to find some of my grandmother's diaries, where she recorded her daily life, and even the summers I was there with her, so that has been a big help. Anyway I have started and would like soon to share with you what I wrote. I'm happy to be here and who knows by being a part of this, what other stories may come to mind. Wish you the best too with your writing. Well I better say good-night and sweet dreams.
Tania

Hi Tania,

Welcome back :) :D

What a precious gift your grandmother gave you. That will be wonderful to use her diaries to write about your childhood. I wish I had something like that. However, I did make lots of notes while my mother was alive, when she told me things about her life, her parents' and grandparents' lives, who was who in our family, and with some of them, where they ended up, e.g. New Zealand, U.S., etc.

Good luck with your writing. I know you will enjoy this process of writing about your childhood.

Best wishes,
Fay
